Business Analyst
Bloomington, MN     
Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Business Analyst for their office in the Bloomington, Minnesota area!

This job will have the following responsibilities:
Responsible for serving as the liaison between the external Managed Partner, business users, and IT staff to assist in the translation of business needs into software requirements and/or business operational changes.
Function as relationship manager between the Service Organization and the Information Technology group. Assure timely and accurate project deliverables along multiple lines of business.
Shepherd client work intake requests from intake through implementation
Research and document business issues. Translate business requirements to technical staff to ensure that requirements are incorporated into system changes. Ensure appropriate testing and document solutions.
Determine business requirements to address business needs for small IT projects or business operations requests. Lead meetings with business partners and Managed Partners to collaborate on requirements, review testing needs and review IT solution and implementation of technology.
Analyze business needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs. Work with IT staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system change.
Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time by managing responses, leading meetings, following up with resources and managing expectations.
Communicate progress, issues, and barriers, to internal and external customers. Conduct periodic status meetings. Facilitate resolution of issues.
Work with moderate guidance. Responsible for applying project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems. Operate within defined parameters using project management and software development methodologies.
Prepare and participate in quality review checks, obtain and archive necessary approvals.
Create presentations, spreadsheets and other documents as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience with Queries and Excel Spreadsheets: Create queries using and/or conditions, export data, perform file compares, create reports, etc.
Basic understanding of project management methodology, tools & processes and able to apply to small projects
Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience in IT and knowledge of Business Operations
Experience in creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, solving problems and issues in a matrix environment.
Strong communication skills at all levels of organization and customers.
End-to-end healthcare knowledge
Experience specific to health insurance
Possess understanding of business processes and systems capabilities
