Database Operations - Sr Manager
Roseville, MN     
Job Description:

FICO has an opportunity for a Database Operations Sr Manager at our facility in Roseville, Minnesota. The primary duty of the Database Operations Sr Manager is to manage database operations for customer facing, revenue generating flagship company products. This position manages teams of highly skilled senior and lead database engineers in various FICO US and India offices to drive continuous process and technology improvements in the DB Operations space to achieve greater operational efficiency, stability and ability to operate at scale.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology Systems, or related field, plus ten (10) years related progressive post-baccalaureate experience, which must include 10 years of experience with relational database technologies (Oracle, MySQL and DB2). Must have 5 years of experience with Oracle RAC, Oracle Dataguard and Oracle Goldengate technologies and Unix shell-scripting (awk, sed, ksh and bash). Must have 5 years of experience with supporting large database environments at scale (100+ databases) and 5 years of experience with supporting very large databases (5 TB +). Must have 3 years of experience managing a team of both US and India off-shore IT resources to support critical database systems running 24x7x365. Must have 2 years of experience with each of the following: a) leading automation initiatives in the DB Operations area to improve operational efficiencies, including DB build/deploy automation, DB patch automation and DB lifecycle automation; b) managing and executing standards on Oracle database infrastructure operations and Oracle database security in accordance with business needs, industry best practice and compliance requirements and MySQL database design to support MySQL databases at scale in an Enterprise environment; and c) leading research and operationalization of new Oracle database technologies (Oracle 12c, Oracle FSFO, Oracle Goldengate 12c) for enterprise deployment. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Experience must have been acquired after completion of the Bachelor's Degree program.
