The Administrative Offices at People Incorporated centralize operational support for our programs. Our Finance department drives fiscal responsibility in an organization with an annual operating budget of roughly $43 million. We are searching for a Senior Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. The Senior Medical Billing Specialist collects, posts and manages client payments for services rendered which results in timely payment to the organization. Specific duties include:
•Work directly with program staff to review and update billing procedures to ensure adherence to organizational guidelines
•Review and partner with the Revenue Manager to create improvements to the billing process, and systems
•Collaborate with Trainer and IT staff to review Evolve training materials and provide input
•Attract, hire and retain high quality staff providing training, assessing strengths and development needs and providing timely and specific feedback and coaching.
•Act as the lead on Evolve projects and system updates, providing communication of system downtime to the team and organization
•Assist with month-end close, reports, delinquencies, etc. providing training and consultation to other Billing Specialists, program staff and stakeholders
•Participate in audit preparation and respond to questions as needed
•High School diploma / GED
•1-2 years prior project coordination experience with intermediate Word & Excel skills
•3-5 years of medical billing and reconciliation experience
•7 years of medical billing and reconciliation experience
•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field
•Medical Billing and Coding Certificate
•Experience with Evolve practice management system
•Billing experience within a nonprofit work environment
