Title: Youth & Family Therapist
Reports to: Program Director
Exempt Status: Exempt
Opening Date: 2/15/2017
Closing Date: 6/30/2017

Full-time LP/LICSW/LMFT needed to provide assessment and counseling services to youth aged 5-18 y.o. and their families.

Position Overview: Provide assessment and psychotherapy services to youth ages 5-18 and their families.

Responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and coordinating care with schools and related medical services. Public speaking requests are common. Three years of experience working with youth required. FT position with flexible scheduling in our Cottage Grove office; services may be provided at multiple sites. Preference given to applicants who have a demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities and provide services to African-American, Latino, or Asian families.

Current full professional licensure (LP, LICSW, LMFT) is required; current credentialing/providership with major insurance carriers is highly preferred. Competitive salary and excellent benefits. YSB is a private, nonprofit, community-based organization providing both Diversion and Counseling services to youth and their families via our offices in Stillwater, Woodbury, and Cottage Grove, MN.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Provide assessment and therapy services to clients as assigned, with at least 60% of time spent in direct-service delivery.
• Maintain client records and enter timely and accurate data.
• Provide youth and families with referrals to other services in the community as needed.
• Provide community education on youth and family related topics.
• Actively participate in regular clinical supervision and consultation meetings.
• Maintain ongoing contact with referral sources.
• Participate in various outcome measure procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• None

Requirements & Qualifications:
• M.A., M.S. or M.S.W. in Psychology or Social Work or Marriage & Family Therapy.
• LP, LICSW, LMFT or LPCC level of licensure attained and pre-existing insurance authorization (Credentialing) with major carriers.
• Minimum of 5 years experience providing psychotherapy services to youth and families (can include some pre-licensure experience).
• Flexible scheduling; including evening and some weekend work when required.
• Demonstrated experience showing familiarity with the developmental needs of youth and families.
• Preference given to applicants who have a demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities and provide services to African-American, Latino, or Asian families.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of service providers (county services, medical providers, schools, police, and community agencies).
• General knowledge of service area, community conditions and local resources is desired.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance and daily access to an automobile.
