Job Description:

This position is located at the District 622 Harmony Alternative Learning Center Program located in Maplewood MN. The program provides Level IV special education services for children ages 5-18. The therapist position is located full-time at the school and is responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy services to the children enrolled in the school. The therapist will work closely with the classroom teachers and will provide consultation and training to the academic staff around mental health symptoms and interventions. Typical hours for the program are 8:30 - 5:30. Occasional early evening hours may be necessary for family therapy sessions and parent meetings

Our Mental Health Therapists work with children to provide them with access to therapy in a school setting. Position responsibilities include:
•Developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with children, parents and other family members
•Creating and implementing treatment plans
•Regularly evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans
•Conducting individual therapy and, as needed, conducting family and group therapies
•Collaborating with school staff regarding referrals and scheduling

Typical hours for the program are 8:30 - 5:30. Occasional early evening hours may be necessary for family therapy sessions and parent meetings

Required qualifications:
•Current and valid licensure as LICSW, LMFT, LP or LPCC
•Master's degree in behavior sciences
•Previous experience with children, adolescents and families in a therapeutic arena

Preferred qualifications:
•Experience collaborating with school systems and school personnel
•Proven success collaborating on interdisciplinary teams
